Support for Specials
There isn't much room left in the school budget when it comes to Specials (sometimes none at all). Art, PE, Guidance, Music, Library and other programs are severely underfunded. We help fill the need by asking for donations from parent/guardians, family, friends, and local businesses. Thanks to our student fundraisers and corporate sponsors this past year, we were are able to add over $1,500 to these programs through our 2020 Virtual Fun Run fundraising event.

Playground Expansion
Pleasant Ridge Elementary School is classified as a Title I school with over 900 students. While they do have recess at different times and we have a nice playground with an open field, play time can get crowded at times. We understand how important play is for growth and stress relief and would like to expand the playground to maximize the land use. By adding in the walking track in April 2020, students returning from the 2020 pandemic school closure had a socially distanced place to exercise and play, encouraging healthy movement. Stay tuned, we have Phase 3 plans for maximizing the land use!
